Regulatory Workshop

We will be holding a regulatory workshop for members, hosted by Sinead O’Connor of DQ Advocates, on 27 June to look at business risk assessments, customer risk assessments and technology risk assessments. Further details to follow in due course.

FSA Presentation

We are hosting a breakfast event at 8.30am on Thursday 4th May at 1886. During the event the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority will provide a presentation on Isle of Man Exempt Schemes. IOMWFSA & CISI Dinner 2022

On 16 September, over 130 professionals met at the Comis for the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (CISI) and the Isle of Man Wealth and Fund Services Association (IOMWFSA) Annual Dinner. Attendees may have been expecting a ‘normal’ annual dinner with after dinner speaker, it was therefore a welcome surprise to be joined by IOMWFSA & CISI Dinner 2022

Postponed AGM

We were sorry to postpone our AGM and lunch event with the Minister for Enterprise before Christmas due to rising covid case numbers. We will hold the postponed AGM part of the event on Tuesday 8 February to formally elect the new committee and approve the 2021 accounts.  The notice and committee election form are Postponed AGM

Beach Buddies

We would like to thank all the firms who very generously donated to the raffle held in aid of Beach Buddies at the Black Tie Dinner held on 23 July which raise over a thousand pounds for this very worthy cause. Sector Specific AML/CFT Guidance

The FSA has released a revised handbook to the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism Code 2019 and sector specific guidance for funds and fund functionaries. Members of the Association regulatory sub-committee reviewed drafts of the sector specific guidance, provided comments and met with the FSA to discuss. IOMWFSA & CISI Dinner 2021

We were delighted to hold our joint dinner with the Isle of Man Branch of the CISI on Friday 23 July 2021 at the Comis Hotel, after various delays due to Covid-19. Black Tie Dinner – 23 July

We are delighted to announce details of our rescheduled Black Tie Dinner to be held at the Comis Hotel in conjunction with CISI, Isle of Man Branch.  The dinner was originally scheduled for May 2020 but was sadly postponed due to the global pandemic.  With restrictions now lifted and the vaccine program well underway, we Black Tie Dinner – 23 July

FSA Exempt Scheme Guidance

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has issued thematic feedback on Exempt and Exempt Type Schemes, which can be found here. This document is applicable to all licenceholders undertaking Class 3(11)/(12) regulated activities and complements and supports the Exempt scheme guidance that was issued last year.
